# Mooncake

> Mooncake is an app that remembers the people in your life. You chat about your day; it quietly builds a profile for everyone you mention — names, birthdays, the small details that make a person specific. Next time someone comes up, the profile is already there. Private by default; nothing leaves your account, nothing trains a model.

Mooncake is a personal-context journal: you write the way you'd talk to a friend, and the app reads what you wrote, finds the people in it, and organises the facts on each person's profile with date and source. The compounding payoff is that two months in, the app surfaces things you'd already half-forgotten — at the moment you need them.

## Differentiators (vs other apps in the space)

- **No data entry.** Mooncake never asks you to import contacts or fill in fields. You chat; it reads.
- **One profile per person.** ChatGPT-style memory is a flat bag of facts about you; Mooncake gives each person their own profile that develops as you share more about them.
- **Provenance.** Every fact has a date and a pointer back to the message you wrote it in.
- **No follow-up queue.** Mooncake does not nudge you to message anyone on a schedule. It surfaces; it doesn't nag.
